Friends since childhood, Noelle (Benedetto) Florek and Michelle (Goldman) Wolfson recently teamed up to do something that would be creative, meaningful and fun. Together they came up with the idea for a storytelling photo blog designed to capture the human spirit in a variety of ways. Combining their love of the written word, passion for photography, and a desire to hear the stories behind every person they encounter, they were excited to co-found One, Unified.
Ours is a project of curiosity. It's designed to explore what most of us don't know about one another, from the trivial to the profound. The mission is to discover the common threads that unify people from all walks of life to bring us together. While we all are unique, have different beliefs and opinions, it's comforting to know we're not all THAT different or alone in this big, small world. We hope that you will learn things about people that will give you another point of view.
We hope our project will give you an appreciation of our similarities and our differences, and diminish the act of pre-judgement. While some people will be "featured" on our site, we hope to make this interactive by starting a conversation, a community. We welcome your input on the page and the topics that week. Michelle Wolfson is a Philly born, Jersey based freelance writer and blogger. She spent 6 years penning the parenting blog, Mommy Confessions. She also served as a contributing writer at Philly Moms Blog, as a columnist for Patch.com, and publisher of The Philly Fan Daily. Noelle Florek, is a lifelong Philadelphian, and a proud mother and wife in addition to being an Independent Beauty Consultant since 1999. She has maintained leadership positions throughout those years as well. Noelle has always had a love of music, photography and people. It was those passions that drove the initiation of the idea for One, Unified., which she and childhood friend, Michelle Wolfson created and co founded. |
